Book sale volunteers needed

The Fall 2015 book sale, moments before opening

We're about to do it all over again, and it takes a small army to make sure it all comes together!

As usual, there are several ways to get involved in the spring book sale:

1. Donate. Bring your gently used books, CDs, and DVDs in. You'll get a tax receipt, and we'll price them to sell.

2. Shop. The sale will be open during Main Library Hours April 29-May 8. Stock up on old favorites, summer reads, movies, and music.

3. Volunteer (and spread the word)!

• We do big setup projects on the weekends leading up to the sale. These shifts are great for students who need service hours for school, or for anyone who wants a taste of volunteering without a big commitment. You sign up directly for setup and teardown shifts here: http://bit.ly/SaleVolunteers. 

• If you'd prefer to come in midweek to help set up, let me know--we'll have smaller projects you can tackle during the week, beginning April 11. 

• During the sale, you can be a Book Sale Greeter and help shoppers find the items they're looking for. All greeters (even if you've done it before!) need to attend a brief training the evening of April 28 to get oriented and ready to go. We've got 600+ boxes full of books, CDs, DVDs, LPs, and magazines just itching to get unpacked and sold, and we'd love your help to do it.
