Coming up in September at the Library

Labor Day Closure: Labor Day is early this year! The Library (both locations) will be closed on Monday, September 1, for the holiday.

Air Show Road Closures: The Oregon International Air Show, on the other hand, is late this year! It will be September 19-21, at the Hillsboro Airport, right across the street from the Main Library. We will be open regular hours at both locations, but access to the Main Library will be a challenge, due to lots of road closures. Keep an eye out for more information, and plan extra time to get to Main. If you prefer to take the weekend off from volunteering just let me know!

New Volunteer Opportunities:

• Friday Family Flicks! Join us on the third Friday of the month to help with this popular family program. We're looking for a volunteer who will help with set-up, snacks, tear-down, and keeping an eye on the crowd.
• Resume help. We're still seeking volunteers to provide one-on-one help to Library patrons in updating their resumes and preparing for job interviews.

Save the Date:

• Northwest Spotlight, the Library Foundation of Hillsboro's annual fundraising event. Saturday, October 11, 6-10pm. Enjoy tastings of local beers and wines, hors d'oeuvres, and live music. Tickets are available online.
• Friends of the Library semi-annual book sale: October 31-November 9, at the Main Library. Join us for shopping, or help out with set-up, stocking, or tear-down.
