A quick housekeeping announcement: I will be out of the office August 31 - September 9, returning on Monday, September 10.
Please grab any staff member for help while I'm out. They don't bite or yell, and they're remarkably patient. Plus it's a library--we LOVE questions!
If you have plans to be out during the first week of September, please let me know beforehand and I'll pass the word along. If something comes up at the last minute and I'm your usual contact for absences, just call the library's main line (503-615-6500) and ask to speak to someone in the department where you volunteer. In the worst-case absence scenario--if you can't reach anyone and the library's phone system is making you nuts--just send me an email and I'll sort it out when I get back!
