Air show road closures: August 2-5

On August 3-5, the Hillsboro Airport will be hosting the Oregon International Air Show. That means road closures Thursday through Sunday in the neighborhood of the Main Library. As usual, local access to the library will be allowed, but expect delays throughout the weekend. Closures will be affect a larger area than  previous years due to performances by the US Air Force Thunderbirds.

If you are scheduled to volunteer during closure times and won't be able to make it, please let Molly know with plenty of advance notice. For complete information about road closures, please read on!

Road closure times:

• Thursday, August 2: 1:30-3:00pm
• Friday, August 3: 12:30-3:40pm and 6:15-10:30pm
• Saturday, August 4: 10:15am-4:45pm
• Sunday, August 5: 10:15am-4:45pm

Closed roads:

• Brookwood Parkway between Dawson Creek Dr and Cornell Rd. (Local access will be allowed to the library and other businesses on the weset side of Brookwood.)
• 264th from Evergreen Rd. south to Airport Rd.
• 268th from Evergreen Rd. to Airport Rd.
• Airport Rd. west of 48th.
• NE "T" Hangars on the airport.
• NE Penny Way west of NE Brookwood Parkway.

There will also be expanded road closures during the Thunderbird performance and arrival/departure: Thursday/Friday 1:30-3pm and Saturday/Sunday 2:30-4:45pm.

• NW Evergreen Rd between NW 264th and NE 15th.
• NW 273rd north of Evergreen Rd.
• NW Sewell from 5100 block south to Evergreen Rd.
• NE 25th from the north-most Intel entrance to Evergreen Rd.
• NE Beacon Ct. from NE 25th to the entrance of Napa Auto Parts.
